April 30 Election Results - Albany Sales Tax, District 4 Fire Protection
April 30 election had no candidates on the ballot for Livingston Parish but did have two new taxes, both of which passed.The first is a new ½% sales tax for the Albany School District which will begin July 1, 2022 and will continue in perpetuity. Tax proceeds will be dedicated and used for constructing and improving public school buildings and facilities therein and acquiring land, equipment, and furnishings. Unofficial voter turnout for this election was 8.9% for 9 precincts with a total of 615 votes.
