Charlie's Reopening, Airborne Soft Opening & LeFleur's Restaurant Closes

Business News Week of September 10th

Dianette Busbin is the new manager at Southern Properties. She is an experienced realtor in South Louisiana with eight years in the business, which makes her the perfect person to manage the successful, multi-agent branch of Berkshire Hathaway.

We’re jumping for joy. Denham Spring’s first trampoline park, Airborne Extreme, is set to have a soft opening on September 20 and a grand opening on September 29. The facility includes a trampoline room, foam pit, ninja course and more. Airborne will be accepting party reservations for October at the soft opening.

Livingston Parish staple, LaFleur’s on the Lake, has closed its doors after 40 years in business. The restaurant moved to Satsuma after its Magnolia Beach Road location flooded in 2016. The closure was announced on the restaurant’s Facebook page. Reasons for the closure included complications caused by the flood and the road closures on S. Satsuma decreasing business.

Tasha Brady has been promoted to manager for the Suma Hall Community Center. The Center hosts events like theatrical performances, town hall meetings and large events like the Livingston Parish Chamber’s Business & Community EXPO.

Charlie’s Restaurant in Springfield should be reopening soon. The home-style seafood restaurant closed in June when one room burned in a fire. Charlie and Marla Brown said at the time that as soon as insurance money arrived they would begin repairs and reopen as soon as possible. They shared on the restaurant’s Facebook page recently that they believe everything will be ready to reopen on October 3.
