This project began with a project group from the Leadership Livingston Class of 2022. The group, under the leadership of their project manager, Patricia Basco, sought to improve areas of the school that were in dire need of upgrades.

The group met with and toured the school in order to determine what the project scope would be. The group raised funds through sponsors who were generous and contributed to the project. The group also participated in a dinner sale led by the local group, Denham Dads. After the funds were raised, the project was to purchase and have installed in collaboration with Livingston Parish Public Schools:

4 outdoor picnic tables, providing a seating area for students
outdoor game areas,
newer models of TVs,
a sensory (cool-down) path for the PK-1 classroom, and
an updated reading nook area in the Library.

The impact of the project once completed is:

Funds raised - $16,603
Volunteer hours - 200+
