Leadership Livingston Class of 2026 Partners with City of Denham Springs on Spring Park Heritage Project

The Leadership Livingston program, offered by the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce, is proud to announce a community improvement project in partnership with the City of Denham Springs. A project group from the Leadership Livingston Class of 2026 is leading efforts to improve safe and accessible access to the historic natural spring located in Spring Park, the landmark from which the City of Denham Springs received its name.

This community project focuses on preserving an important piece of Denham Springs’ heritage while enhancing safety, accessibility, and aesthetics for residents and visitors. Planned improvements include the construction of a safe walkway providing access to the spring, landscaping enhancements, mulch and edging, and the installation of nine ADA-accessible picnic tables to ensure the park can be enjoyed by all members of the community.

“Spring Park and its historic springs are central to the identity of Denham Springs,” the project group shared. “This project allows us to honor our city’s heritage, enhance a beloved community space, and create a safer, more enjoyable experience for generations to come.”

Leadership Livingston consists of multiple project teams, each dedicated to addressing a unique community need. The Class of 2026 is proud to continue this tradition of service and civic engagement through a project that reconnects the community with its history while investing in its future.

The Spring Park project is being completed in partnership with the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce, the Livingston Chamber Foundation, and the City of Denham Springs. Additional details will be shared during the official project reveal.
