About Us

Project Impact: $80,000 | Volunteer Hours: 400 +
#Impacted: 140,789 Residents/Visitors/First Responders & Their Families

Our team was inspired to strengthen our community by honoring those who risk their lives to protect ours. First Responders, including law enforcement officers, paramedics, EMTs, and firefighters, consistently calm our fears, ease our minds, and keep us safe. Their dedication to our community is immeasurable, beyond natural disasters, like the Great Flood of 2016 and illness, like COVID-19. In return, our team launched plans for the development of a First Responders' Monument. The monument is in Walker, Louisiana, located in the Sidney Hutchinson Park near the Community Safe House. The First Responders' Monument is a dedicated space for our community to pay tribute to our first responders, including our fallen first responders. Our team's mission is to establish a public place of recognition and appreciation for first responders, where citizens can gather, reflect, and express their gratitude to those who are dedicated to serve and protect our communities. Construction has begun and we are looking at a completion date of Fall 2021.
