Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Audit Staff to join our team. This individual will play a key role in preparing financial statement audit engagements, including not-for-profit organizations and governmental entities, while also performing other attest and related consulting engagements. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients and contribute to the growth and success of our firm. Key Responsibilities:
Audit Duties:
- Conduct financial statement audits of not-for-profits and governmental entities.
- Plan and execute audit engagements, including risk assessment, planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
- Prepare and review audit workpapers and reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct other attest engagements, including financial statement reviews, compilations, and agreed-upon procedures.
- Communicate with clients concerning proposed journal entry adjustments, accounting policy recommendations, and accounting system improvements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and addressing their accounting and audit needs.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting;
- Actively pursuing the CPA certification.
- Understanding of auditing standards, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements.
- Aanalytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify issues, assess risks, and develop effective audit strategies.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Excel, and audit software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members at all levels.
