Brief info on each winner

Jamie Seal – Quality Engineering and Surveying. Jamie has been instrumental in his firms growth plus listing as LSU Alumni fastest growing firms, 500’s Americas fastest growing firms, Baton Rouges’ best places to work. He has been of his firms growth from 2 employees to nearly 50 employees. He is actively engaged in numerous associations for his industry. He is a member of Kiwanis. Jamie was key and instrumental in the founding meetings of this Livingston Young Professional program and invested himself and his firms resources in assuring the program was successful. As a father of two children adopted through foster care, he champions that cause, serves on the CASA board and seeks ways to bring attention to our parish’s youngest and most vulnerable citizens.  

Rachel Brown – Labarre Associates. In the past year, she has become a licensed architect and trusted to manage her firm’s largest multimillion dollar project. She volunteers with her daughter’s girl scout troop, promoting girls in STEM and STEAM collaborations plus military, environmental & local animal issues. Her future plans are to obtain an industry accreditation, and she also plans to continue to step out from behind the scenes, where she is most comfortable, to stretching her comfort zone. 

Jody Purvis – Livingston Parish Public Schools – Jody is active in his church, and volunteers as a coach. He serves on the Fourth ward water board and District 6th gravity drainage board. He is the regional jump start team leader. In his career, he was the youngest individual to be appointed principal in Livingston parish. He then led Springfield High school to a national recognized school with a bronze ranking while principal there. He nearly the doubled success on advanced placement testing through his current role at the administrative office. In his programming of summer jump start where 94% of students earned an industry certification. Future plans are for innovation class room preparing tomorrows workforce.

Amanda Moss -  Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP. Her volunteer efforts includes being treasurer of a local 501 C3non profit here in Livingston Parish. She is a member of member of Livingston Young professionals, Louisiana Ice Sports Association, CPA Society and other associations. She became a Certified Public Accountant and was promoted within her firm. She finds solutions to and is able to streamline processes. Likely the most defining was the nomination by a peer who most graciously explained the challenges faced she faced while continuing to excel in her work. 

McHugh David Jr.- The Livingston Parish News. McHugh is an active member of rotary, including past club president, where an interact club took root. Chamber’s Leadership Livingston project involving a shelter for battered women and assisted the a leadership project of a park in Albany. Association membership include the LP Chamber, Antique Association, Livingston Young Professionals, Press Association, Newspaper Association to name a few. Led his family’s business through turbulent times and not only thrived but improved. He has bold plans to continue professional development and leadership.
