Class Speaker, Travis Tharp: “Without hesitation I would recommend anyone who wishes to understand their role, or the role their business should play, in the further growth of our parish to apply to participate in the Leadership Livingston program. My eyes were opened to successes and inequities within our boundaries, the Livingston Chamber of Commerce presents these as opportunities and challenges you to make it a better place.”

Kim Galloway: “I am so very thankful to the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce and its Leadership Livingston program as it has allowed me to exponentially increase my knowledge of and respect for the parish that I have called home for 18 years. My respect level for the educators, healthcare facilities, city/parish/state government officials and our law enforcement organizations has risen so very highly. I think we have a beautiful parish and the wonderful tourism opportunities, culture, arts and history of our area make me proud to say that I am a resident of Livingston Parish, and wouldn't have it any other way.”

5 Great Lessons from Customer Service Mistakes

A cruise ship captain once said, “There’s always a weird person at your dinner table. If you’re sitting with several couples and you can’t figure out who the weird one is, chances are it’s you.”

Every business is convinced they offer stellar service but if you can’t think of a company in your area that offers bad service, it might be you. It’s statistically impossible, not to mention an abuse of a superlative, for every business to offer “the best” service. One is better than the other. We aren’t all 5-stars all the time.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t learn from the experience.
