Introducing Livingston Parish's first Young Professionals Conference - co-hosted by Livingston Young Professionals. The 2-hour conference is by young professionals, for young professionals and, convenes area-wide young professionals, mentors and stakeholders in engaging current and future leaders.
Speaker Information
Kim Sanders, CPA, MBA
Kim Sanders obtained her masters degree from SLU. Kim is now the Managing Partner for one of the longest standing CPA firms in the area, LA Champagne (over100 years). Kim is one who will take advantage of the opportunities that come her way. Her professional development came not only from her education and background, but also from the organizations that Kim not only a part of, but also was elected into chair and leadership positions. Kim will take you on her journey from the new person at the table to the leader of her firm.
David Stokes - Chief of Staff - US Senator John Kennedy
David Stokes is the Chief of Staff for United States Senator John Kennedy, David leads Senator Kennedy's operations in both Washington D.C. and Louisiana is his official capacity. David also oversees Senator Kennedy's campaign and fundraising efforts. He graduated from Louisiana College in Pineville, LA with a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and received his master's degree in Public Administration form LSU. David is often invited to speak to groups. His pathway to leadership as chief of staff for one of the most influential offices in the world is a message we are anxious to hear.
Benton T. Thames
Benton was born in Baton Rouge, grew up in Denham Springs and graduated from Springfield High School. He enlisted in the US Army in 2006. He volunteered for the Tomb of the Unknown Solider platoon and became the Relief Commander in charge of the Changing of the Guard in Arlington National Cemetery. He graduated from SLU in Hammond with a degree in Business Administration. He has since opened a State Farm Agency and resides in Springfield. He has spoken to several groups at varying events on the topics of discipline, leadership and service.
