Our Speakers for 2026 are: 

Speaker: Lisa Maggio  - Author: Crushed: A Miracle Was Her Only Option

After a devastating horseback riding accident, Lisa suffered one of the most traumatic injuries imaginable. Her rib cage was crushed, multiple limbs were shattered, and she was trapped beneath a horse, lost deep in the woods.  Her greatest discovery wasn't only the miracle that she received, but the God behind it.  Her miraculous journey of survival became the basis for her powerful book, Crushed: A Miracle Was Her Only Option. Lisa is a sought-after speaker and an expert in social confidence and professional presence.  Through her adult and youth programs—including Projecting Professionalism for adults and Noble Knights for teenagers—she empowers both men and women to communicate confidently, connect meaningfully, and make lasting, positive impressions.

 

Speaker: Brenna Barzenick - Doctor of Physical Therapy, business owner, author, and educator

Brenna works and lives in her hometown of Hammond, LA and is co-founder of Downtown Yoga (est. 2015). Dr. Barzenick wrote an evidence-based 15 hour continuing education course for Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists titled, Integrating Yoga in Health Care, the first of its kind in Louisiana. In addition, she leads workshops on biomechanics, yoga anatomy and orthopedic conditions for yoga teachers and medical professionals. In addition, she was an instructor of Anatomy and Kinesiology at Southeastern Louisiana University and authored the book, “Tsumommy! Riding the Wave of Motherhood”, a humorous take on motherhood.
Brenna is actively involved in the community at the state and local level. She is on the Board of the Land Trust for Louisiana and spearheaded Yoga in the Sunflowers, a LTL fundraiser. Brenna has worked closely with Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center for their fundraiser, Geaux Yoga, along with numerous non-profit organizations. In 2023, she received the Annie Award for her community work and business success.
Brenna has been married to local businessman Jay Barzenick for 28 years and they have two wonderful children.
