1. Heart & Sole – Shoes for Students & Killian Helipad (2 Part Project)
- Team Members: Todd Peters, Lori Steele, John Blount, Craig McGeHee, Brittni Blankenship, David Hobbs, Lana Guay
- Project Decription:
- Killian Helipad – helped establish a helipad in the town of Killian in order to serve the lower side of the parish. There are several major boating and vehicle accidents that require medevac and the closest helipad is over 30 minutes away, until now. The Helipad is now outside of the Killian Town Hall.
- Shoes for Students – This project provided shoes and socks to over 150 students in Livingston Parish this spring. The team partnered with a national non-profit organizations “Shoes That Fit” and the Livingston Parish School Board to meet the need. Children in our own community are going to school with holes in their shoes or shoes that do not fit. The team plans to carry the project on into the fall.
