Steve McLin Press Release
Steve McLin, president of McLin Construction, LLC, was appointed to the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors beginning January 2019.  Board chair, Candy Forbes states, “We are excited to welcome Steve to the chamber’s board.  He and his family’s history in the parish, along with his business background, will be a true asset to the chamber and business community.”

Mr. McLin started his business in 2003 and was building homes for his business while working as an estimator for his mentor and former employer, Blount General Contractors.  In 2012, he branched out on his own along with his wife, Susan, who handled the administrative end of the business.  Today his firm has grown to ten employees with substantial projects throughout the parish and region.

He is a Livingston Parish native and even lives on land that was passed down from his great grandfather, John R. McLin, a founder of the Satsuma area.
When asked what interested Steve the most in serving as a business leader through the chamber, he states, “The opportunity to learn more and get involved was a draw.  I am a believer in self responsibility, where individuals not only voice their opinion, but also engage in solutions.  The chamber offers the opportunity to be active in making our businesses and our parish better. “

His vision for Livingston Parish?   “We have an opportunity in Livingston Parish to path our progress in a way that we empower our parish and its communities while still being a regional team player.”

Steve and his wife, Susan, live in Satsuma with their two children, Braden 15 and Alyssa 11.  He will be sworn in on January 23, 2019 along with other chamber board members at a formal ceremony.
