If so, as an outside Sales and Business Development Representative for Alliance Safety Council, you will be on the front lines of helping us drive client opportunity with our innovative training and technology solutions.  We are looking for a fearless go-getter to help define a strategic sales plan, and make it happen.  This is a role for someone who wants to control their own destiny and opportunity by leveraging their own abilities.  You will not be micromanaged, and our customizable solutions meet a real and felt need for a variety of target audiences, making this a great product set to sell.

 Specifically, you will…
  • Design and manage sales pipeline from target list to closing
  • Develop relationships and build solutions that drive win-win outcomes for us and our clients
  • Collaborate with the team on product development, marketing and positioning from the lens of real client demands
  • Deliver results.  Net new clients, and opportunity growth with existing clients

Job Title: Outside Sales Representative

Reports to: Director of Customer Solutions and Organizational Development
FLSA Status: Full-Time, Salaried Exempt
 
Summary: The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and exhibiting Alliance Safety Council’s (ASC) proprietary training products and technology solutions.
 
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position requires minimal supervision of employees.
 
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position requires knowledge and understanding of English grammar and basic/intermediate computer skills. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university plus 3-5 years’ experience in sales is required. Sales certification and/or industry experience is a plus.
 
EssentialFunctions: 
  • Track and monitor all leads and opportunities through the stages of the sales pipeline via a CRM.
  • Cultivate sales leads for ASC products and brands as well as membership in the Alliance Safety Council.
  • Meet, follow-up and establish connections with potential clients.
  • Establish relationships with key individuals in different business sectors while tracking contact and prospecting information in a sales tool platform
  • Cultivate client relationships through the product life cycle.
  • Perform gap/needs analysis with potential clients.
  • Exhibiting and representing ASC products at expos, conferences and meetings.
  • Create quotes and follow through the clients’ approval and procurement processes.
  • Serve as client liaison when working with the internal product designated implementation team.
  • Facilitate presentations or webinars with potential clients, industry groups or associations, etc..
  • Assist with the development of marketing materials – collateral, website, table top displays, brochure, membership letter, etc.
  • Provide feedback and new industry practices as it relates to exhibiting, advertising, etc. ASC products.
  • Responsible for promoting sales of newly developed products for new industries.

  • Other duties/tasks as may be assigned.
  • Must be competent in all functions of the Alliance Safety Council computer programs and databases.

Work Schedule: The work schedule varies and includes travel. Must be able to travel at least 50% or more of the time
