Key Contributions
The Senior Data Analyst will manage the entire implementation lifecycle of our online benefits enrollment system including planning, needs assessment, design, configuration, testing and deployment.  In addition to project and client management responsibilities, the Data Analyst will be responsible for ongoing maintenance and support of the system, including audits, system enhancements, and file exchanges/electronic data interchange formats between clients, insurance carriers, and other external business partners.
Primary Responsibilities
  1. Manages all aspects of the implementation process of designated Employee Benefits enrollment systems which includes collaborative consultation with the client, solution design, configuration, integration testing, training and deployment
  2. Coordinates, schedules, and tracks progress of specialized work projects or departmental functions
  3. Performs group data updates, exports, imports, clean-ups, and researches/reports on any data discrepancies
  4. Performs new client setup (including EDI feeds), open enrollment setup, post enrollment setup and trains new hires/existing employees on the process and on any new internal standards
  5. Coordinates and communicates with carriers, clients, and vendors to resolve any routine and non-routine problem resolution to all aspects of enrollment
  6. Handles problems and non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take and interprets guidelines, procedures, policies, and practices
  7. Confirms accuracy and integrity of all data entered, maintains data in the enrollment system and assures information is available on a timely basis
  8. Provides assistance and supports others on difficult assignments and/or problems as directed
  9. Prepares or directs preparation of timelines, client communications, training materials, meeting agendas, and general correspondence with all supporting documentation related to assigned responsibilities
  10. Manages multiple integrations at a time
  11. Participates in special projects as directed
  12. May supervise, monitor or coordinate activities of other colleagues
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field with specialized training in information systems and functional areas of Employee Benefits and Payroll 
  2. 5+ years of experience in Employee Benefits or Payroll with a focus on computerized human resource systems or computerized payroll operations
  3. Knowledge of operating systems, MS Office, and experience with importing/exporting data between HR information systems, MS Access (or other database systems) and MS Excel
  4. Extensive knowledge of employee benefit plans and plan administration preferred
  5. Experience with payroll operations preferred
  6. Experience with EDI feeds preferred
  7. Proven problem solving, analytical, decision making and project management skills
  8. Ability to multi-task and demonstrate close attention to detail
  9. Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of management, clients and co-workers
  10. Must be ready to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively to meet established project deadlines
