Name: Childhood Hunger Awareness Day
Date: September 5, 2018
Event Description:
Layton Ricks will proclaim September 5th as Childhood Hunger Awareness Day in Livingston Parish at the August 23 Council Meeting. Mighty Mom's hope is that the days leading up to September 5 and that day itself, would be a day for conversation about the 1 in 5 children who live in food insecure homes in our community. We are looking for businesses to partner with us this school year to help support our 12-15K monthly grocery bill. The LPSB has approved this day for their 2018/19 school calendar and we are excited about our schools being involved in fundraising and raising awareness for childhood hunger. September 5 is a day for our entire parish to be involved in raising awareness and joining with us to raise money for our projects.
Location:
Livingston Parish schools, churches, libraries, government offices, churches and homes.
Date/Time Information:
All day on September 5
