SUMMARY:2018-Student Leadership Conference - Presented by Neighbors Federal Credit Union
DESCRIPTION:For the third time in four years\, the Chamber's Business & Education Committee will be hosting a Student Leadership Conference. The conference will engage high school students with the experience\, look and feel of a professional business conference aimed to teach students skills they will need to be better prepared to join the workforce after high school.\n\n\n\nPast sessions have included presentations on hiring\, ethics in the workplace and sessions focused on the power of teamwork. Break out sessions on each segment are meant to let students interact with business professionals experienced in each area.  \n\n\n\nA highlight of the day is for students to have lunch in round table sessions with a panel of business leaders who mentor the students in either their respective field or the promise and challenge of starting a business.  \n\n\n\nFunding for the project is through Chamber Business partners who sponsor the Chamber's Education Initiatives. Sponsorship opportunities are available.  \n\n\n\nVolunteer opportunities are available.  If you would like to participate and mentor students\, please register and indicate your level of interest. In the comments section please list your field or area that you would like to mentor. There is no charge to participate and lunch is provided.
