2020 Community Impact Award Winner – Livingston Parish Council on Aging

The 2020 Community Impact Award, presented by Jefferson Financial Federal Credit Union, recognizes 501C3 social service type organizations for their work in addressing issues that directly impact citizens of Livingston Parish.

In 2020, there was probably no demographic that was more isolated and on their own than the senior citizens of Livingston Parish. Through the shutdowns, and still today with their inability to meet in groups, they have been frustrated, down, annoyed, and even sadly depressed.
 
One agency these citizens could count on continued to deliver services, including the Meals on Wheels program, held drive through food pickups, and provided other needed services. Because of their constant commitment to the citizens in Livingston Parish, Livingston Parish Council on Aging is the 2020 Community Impact Award Recipient.
